Best Tropical Destinations For Your Winter Holiday

“Winter weather” is an incredibly variable term that depends on which part of the world you call home. In California, for example, “winter weather” might mean bringing a sweater or a light jacket when you leave the house, or putting on some boots instead of sandals. If you’re in New York City or somewhere in the midwest, however, winter means freezing temperatures, icy cold winds and snow (lots and lots of snow). It’s pretty magical over the holidays, but otherwise? A great excuse to fly somewhere where no snow shovel is required.

Here are our picks for the best tropical destinations for your winter holiday. If you’d like to inquire about aircraft availability and pricing, please contact us - our team would be pleased to provide some options that meet your needs.

Anguilla

This eastern Caribbean paradise consists of one main island and several small, offshore islets. There’s a stunning national park and interesting historic sites to explore. Offering clear, turquoise waters and plenty of greenery, Anguilla has as many spectacular beaches as you can imagine. There are great opportunities for scuba diving and water sports as well as day trips to Sandy Island and other secluded spots. Don’t forget to check out their epic sunsets!

Bali

The mountains covered in lush greenery, the historic architecture and rice paddies, the beaches and coral reefs...Bali is a place you’ll never forget. There’s a reason they call this the island of the Gods! Set off the coast of Indonesia, this incredible destination offers peaceful forests and yoga centers as well as lively beachside towns to explore. You can even hang out with monkeys in an ancient temple! (Go on and do it for the ‘gram.)

The Maldives

Southwest of India and Sri Lanka lies the island nation of the Maldives, a true pocket of paradise. With its unique geography and amazing landscape, the Maldives offer warm ocean waters with white sand beaches and clear blue skies. Boating, snorkeling, and water sports by day, overwater bungalos and even underwater dining by night! Or, grab a drink and find a hammock to nap in - we all relax our own way.

French Polynesia

French Polynesia is a collection of islands including Tahiti and Bora Bora. Set in the South Pacific, this destination offers spectacular beaches, absolutely stunning natural landscapes and ultra-luxe accommodations (picture glass floors in overwater bungalows). Bora Bora is known as ‘the jewel of the South Seas’ and makes the perfect romantic getaway. Or, feed the rays and sharks - a popular tourist attraction! (Bora is one of our favorites, and perfect for a romantic getaway for two, or even family experience for four!). You’d normally fly into Tahiti and then catch a connecting flight to the smaller out-islands either by land-plane, floatplane and now even by helicopter (most 5-star resorts have their own helipad).

St. Barths

Not far from Anguilla, St Barthelemy (commonly known as St. Barts or St. Barths) is perfect for those who want to experience the best of everything. Full of high end shops and restaurants, St. Barths has a wide range of luxury accommodations. You’ll never want to leave the beach but if you do, there are unique activities such as submarine tours and yacht rentals. Or, hit the spa for a treatment and a massage! You’re on vacation, after all.
