Wimbledon

What better reason to go to London than for Wimbledon? This is a fantastic event not only for the exceptional tennis, but to experience summer in England. The historic tournament begins July 1st and runs until July 14th, 2019. Take in a few matches and then spend some time touring the nearby city centre and surrounding countryside. You might even catch a glimpse of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, who has been known to attend Wimbedon most years.

Tour de France

Summer, cycling, maybe some French wine in the countryside or at a sidewalk cafe in Paris? We’re on board - and you can be, too. The Tour de France takes place in France and Belgium from July 6th to 28th. We suggest choosing one of many charming destinations along the route and settling into comfortable accommodations for a relaxing stay. You can cheer on cyclists as they cross through town and then spend some time enjoying the region. Or, let us fly you to Paris and be there when the winning cyclist crosses the finish line on the Champs Elysees!

British Open

The 2019 British Open will take place at the Royal Portrush Golf Club, County Antrim in Northern Ireland from July 18th to 21st. If you love golf, this is the place to be - it’s a rugged course with changing elevation that is sure to make for some exciting games. See the best of the best compete on the green and then grab a Guinness or some Irish whiskey to celebrate!

More to see and do

Wimbledon, the Tour de France and the British Open are just the beginning - if you’re interested in other adventures in summer athletics, consider a trip to the Women’s World Cup of soccer or the World Rowing Championships in Austria. Looking to stay closer to home? Tennis fans are in luck - the US Open is happening in New York City in late August. No matter where you end up this summer, travel well - we’d be pleased to help.
