6 Great Cities For Shopping

Chicago!

Chicago!

Sometimes you travel for business, an event, or to have new cultural experiences - and other times, you go somewhere for the incredible shopping. We get it - and we can get you there in a private charter! It’s time to think beyond Los Angeles and New York City. Here are some great shopping destinations to consider for your next getaway.

San Francisco

Sunshine, painted ladies and amazing shops - San Francisco has it all, and it makes a perfect weekend retreat. Start at the boutiques in Union Square and then head over to Fillmore Street. If you’re after some quirky and uniquely San Fran, pay a visit to the Haight Ashbury District or the Hayes Valley area. Once you’ve had your fair share of retail therapy, there will be plenty of fantastic restaurants, art galleries, and museums to keep you busy.

Houston, TX

Houston is home to twelve unique shopping districts, from their lively downtown to the high-end boutiques of West Ave. Make time to visit some of the many shopping centers - Highland Village, River Oaks, The Galleria and more. Uptown Park is worth a visit and makes a great stop for lunch or a glass of wine. If you have any energy left, check out the nightlife (or, visit one of their lovely spas instead).

Toronto, Canada

If you’re traveling from the United States, your dollar will go a lot farther north of the border. That said, Toronto offers excellent shopping options for Canadians, too. No matter where you’re from, you’ll appreciate the gorgeous Bloor Street location of Holt Renfrew and its surrounding luxury shops. If you love a good mall, try the Eaton Centre or Yorkdale in the north end - or, stay downtown and explore Yorkville (a great place to shop and the perfect stop for coffee or lunch).

Montreal, Canada

Speaking of Canada, Montreal has some beautiful shopping areas and offers the posh feel of a European town. Check out the Place Ville Marie (you can even stay in several luxury hotels that connect to the shopping area). There’s also Boulevard St. Laurent and more casual areas like Rue Ste-Catherine and the eclectic L’Avenue du Mont-Royal. Make time for an evening walk through the port and Old Montreal - a charming end to your busy day.

Aspen, Colorado

Aspen is proud of its luxe shops and boutiques, and it should be - the shopping here is as good as the skiing. Fashion, beauty, jewelry, fine art, home goods and more - it’s all there in a charming village atmosphere. There are great places to enjoy a gourmet meal and a number of high-end spas to visit during your trip. Don’t forget to check out a local wine bar or buy a few vintage bottles to take home!

Chicago, IL

If you’ve heard of the Magnificent Mile, you know why Chicago makes our list. In addition to the famed shopping district (it spans eight city blocks, so plan to stay awhile), there are plenty of interesting boutiques throughout the city. Wicker Park has some great retail options - make sure you stop at The Robey for a casual but delicious brunch and check out the views from their rooftop before heading back out to the shops. Finish your day with a visit to a local champagne bar (3 Arts Cafe is gorgeous) and you’re set!
